Not the best one arm push up but...

I’m sure that you have any problems doing regular push ups, after all what Core Routine wouldn’t be complet without them.

But how many one-arm push ups can you do?

If you can’t do a perfect one arm push up today’s video will show you exactly how to do it.  There is a nice push up progression to follow. No matter what level you are at, you will have the tools to move forward.

One Arm Push up Progression

Push-ups are a great way to strengthen your arms, back and shoulders. They give you a solid upper body workout. You will soon find out that this is a great core exercise too.  For many it will be the core muscles that give you the most trouble.

As you can see from the video the one arm pushup is very different than in the music-filled training montage from Rocky where he’s banging them out one after another is not the way to do them.  Take a look at Bruce Lee’s version and you see how to train it the right way.

For most the basic push up is not all that hard.  Chances are if you can bang out 25 or more push-ups in a row, there’s a good chance that you can already knock out a one-armed push-up Rocky style.

It will be ugly…

but you’ll complete the rep.

Even though I can bench press 400 pounds I can’t do a one arm push up like Bruce Lee, though I have no problem with the Rocky version.  I am going to make it my goal to do 12 correct one arm push ups this year.
